SANYpet agreed to aim its entire research studies exclusively to food products that can provide the best possible health condition to every single dog and cat in different ways.
Cruelty free
SANYpet has never conducted and will never will conduct any experiments on animals, but rather it solely relies on clinical studies carried out in collaboration with university clinics, opinion leaders and with various colleagues.
Fundamental keys of the Health Project
Two fundamental keys to carry out the project concretely:
- the first one is to use “pure” ingredients, preserved naturally;
- the second one is to introduce precious natural substances in every single product in order to resolve the real health emergency of the modern world: chronic inflammation, food allergy and food intolerance.
The role of pollution
It is not surprising that chronic inflammation, food allergy and food intolerance are becoming ever more widespread: the quantity of more varied polluting substances that each food carries, also found in water and air, are in such a way that forces the organism to undergo continued positive defence reactions (food intolerance) or cause it to “seize up”, producing negative reactions to the immune system (allergies).

SANYpet Research and Development Department
The entire wealth of experience and studies on veterinary science, homeopathy, acupuncture and food intolerance, gained over thirty years of work by Sergio Canello, DVM in his clinic in Padua, is combined with SANYpet Research and Development Department, which is managed by Sergio Canello, DVM himself.
Chemist Gianandrea Guidetti, a great expert in phytotherapy and natural medicine in general, is also part of the Research and Development Department. He has certainly been a true pioneer and is the greatest expert in organic nutrition and phytotherapy applied to cats and dogs; it is a great opportunity to have Guidetti in SANYpet’s family.

The objective is to devise, study and create all those new tools that enable the realization of SANYpet’s "MISSION": health through nutrition.

Raw materials
The cereals used in the process come from Italy and none of the raw material is imported from the Asian market. All suppliers are monitored through periodic audits conducted at their premises.
Animal raw materials
Fish from non-polluted sea areas (South Pacific ocean and Iceland), from producers that treat the marine ecosystem responsibly (cruelty free fishing).
Animal raw materials come exclusively from extensive farming systems for alternative meat sources (deer, wild boar) and from organic certified farming systems for chicken, lamb and bullock, which are used for the Organic Product Line.
Particular attention taken with pollutants
Special attention is given to research studies analysis on the most harmful pollutants (melamine, aflatoxins, dioxin and PCB, heavy metals).
All checks carried out on these harmful pollutants proved to be negative.
Safety and inspection instruments
SANYpet relies on technical tools and strict checking procedures that monitor the entire production line and all incoming raw materials are subjected to checks and in-depth analysis. In addition to been equipped with instruments, such as a spectrophotometer (NIR), which can provide real-time analytical results; the organisation relies on external labs certified to detect harmful pollutants subject to health alerts constantly reported by R.A.S.F.F. (Rapid Alert System For Food And Feed) from the European Union.
A made in Italy product
All of FORZA10 dry products are produced near Padua in a brand new SANYpet production facility.
A cutting-edge production facility
The new SANYpet production facility was inaugurated near Padua in April 2008, a true pride of the Italian industry. Production methods guarantee excellent parameters of organic value, regularity, digestibility, desirability and preservation.
Certifications
DNV: SANYpet has recently obtained a complete DNV certification, which attests and guarantees accurate organization and control of each single phase, from research and development to project planning up until commercialization.
Organic: the new technologically advanced facility was quickly certified for the production and preservation of its diet food products and for its organic food production (monitored by C.C.P.B., a certifying and monitoring authority).
Information Resources Incorporated: already since 2006, the company can relatively rely on the Italian territory and through statistics data from the International Certification Institute (IRI), it has gained leadership in the food industry of diet food products for cats and dogs.
Solidarity
SANYpet also pays special attention to charity: in fact, SANYpet has so far made long distance adoptions for 20 children, undertaking to increase such number every year; it also contributes to the Telefono Azzurro-Rosa support line, an organisation that looks after a child abuse hotline; furthermore, it has made several wells in Ethiopia, providing water to thousands of people; SANYpet supports NICO (the Italian soccer team of Olympic athletes), a non-profit association that organises soccer matches for charity to gather funds for research studies on serious illness.
Ethics
SANYpet pays particular attention to ethics: all statements about their products are strictly true. Even relationships with their customers are based on respecting given promises and on providing prompt answers to any revealed problems.
Collaboration with research centres
A clinical study is currently being conducted at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Naples, based on the use of the item Renal Active on renal pathologies of cats;
a clinical study based on the item Immuno Active on Leishmaniasis is being conducted in the corresponding Faculty of Bari;
the Military Centre of Grosseto, commissioned by the Ministry of Defence, is conducting a clinical study based on the item Condro Active on dysplasia;
the Guardia di Finanza (Italian finance police) Dog Expert Centre of Castiglion del Lago in Province of Perugia, is conducting a clinical study on fertility, based on the item Reproduction Active and on dysplasia, based on the item Condro Active;
Starting from September 2009, the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine of Perugia, will launch clinical trials on fertility and on pregnancy, based on the item Reproduction Active and on neonatology, based on the item Condro Active;
a clinical study based on the item Reproduction Active is being conducted on the hypofertility of reproducers in Gerona, Spain at a Centre for Assisted Reproduction.
Also on September 2009, the Veterinary Faculty of Barcelona in Spain will launch a clinical trial on mammary carcinoma, where our Nutraceutical range, item FORZA10 Immuno Active was chosen to ascertain one of the five groups that will make part of the project, the role of “natural” foods to prevent or slow down recurrences.
Collaborations with colleagues
OTO Active
Following the successful conclusion of the multicentric protocol concerning the effects of FORZA10 Diet on food related pathologies, the clinical protocol regarding the new item OTO Active and its action in the event of chronic otitis or reoccurrences was recently concluded and published. The results obtainable from the website www.forza10.com, reveal that this difficult pathology disappeared completely on 89% of 105 dogs that underwent clinical trials with OTO Active conducted by 95 self-employed veterinarians.
At the end of the diet treatment, only one case out of the 105 cases did not show any improvement in symptoms.
Intestinal and Dermo Active
Similar protocols on items Intestinal and Dermo Active will be initiated from September 1st: nevertheless, at least 20 positive trials have been already gathered from as many colleagues.

SANYpet was also the first Italian company oin its field to activate a toll free number (800-99-33-98) to assist all contact persons: veterinarians, wholesalers, retailers, breeders and owners. Guaranteed safety
To guarantee its own Mission: the “Health Project”, SANYpet has decided to only use a few types of high-quality raw materials in the best possible way in order to guarantee accurate checks throughout the entire production line and ensure complete safety for its entire production.
Organic raw materials
Moreover, organic raw materials such as wheat or other cereals (which may be more subjected to pollution by harmful substances), all come from Italy and undergo strict checks by the Consortium for the Control of Organic Products.
Suppliers
Suppliers undergo scrupulous periodic audits by our quality control workers. Raw materials from Asian markets are never used under any circumstance.
Technology
Despite been completely natural, all FORZA10 Nutraceuticals are involved in high-tech processes: joining the organic value of the proven effectiveness of fish, corn and fish oil to fight against food-related pathologies using an exceptional pool of phytotherapic principles specific for each item.
Natural principles
Papaya, pomegranate, aloe, ginseng, pineapple, burdock, mallow, currant, oregano, chestnut, sage, propolis, lysozyme, curcuma, echinacea and tea tree, these are just a few antioxidant and phytotherapic agents added to the various Active items according to specific properties. The most important characteristics include their antioxidant action, anti-inflammatory action, immunoregulating action and their antitumoral action.

AFS® (ACTIVE FRESH SYSTEM®): A revolutionary health technique.
The croquette baking process (extrusion) reaches up to 100 degrees, therefore it decreases the action of active principles added to the formula.
However, SANYpet's Research and Development Centre has found a final solution to such problem: the patented technique AFS®, which consists in mixing 10% of fish croquettes with special heart-shape tablets. These tablets are produced at room temperature, enabling the complete preservation of added active principles.
A European diet food product
The use of selected sources of protein, carbohydrates and fat (salt-water fish, corn and fish oil with high biological value), enables the Diet and Maintenance products lines, as well as the entire Nutraceutical product line to comply with the European Legislation on dietary foods (Directive 2008/38/EC).
