THE ROLE OF POLUTION

At present, environmental pollution is one of the most serious risk factors for health.  Every living being is forced to come into contact with countless pollutants, through the air and water, but above all through its food.  The body’s type of response to these harmful substances depends on the individual degree of sensitivity.

Every individual has a specific capacity to “absorb” these poisons. Once this capacity is exceeded, allergies, intolerances and all food-related disorders appear.

The SANYpet Research and Development Department has conducted lengthy studies on the degree of sensitivity of dogs and cats. It has been shown that, while a considerable number of individuals have no obvious sensitivity to environmental and dietary allergens, there are however a large number of animals which show:

  • in the dog, reactions mainly in the skin, ears and gastroenteric tract;
  • in the cat, reactions mainly in the kidneys, gastroenteric tract, eyes and mouth.

Fish, fish oil and alternative meats are absolutely the best raw materials for ensuring a minimal daily intake of environmental pollutants, and no pharmacological residues. This has led to the formulation of products which provide two fundamental characteristics, in both the short and the long term: minimal or no allergising power and a high degree of effectiveness in preventing the reactions described above.
